Myofascial Release (MFR) therapy focuses on releasing muscular tension and tightness on the myofascial tissues to reduce pain and restore motion. This treatment is for patients who lose their flexibility or function following an injury or those who are experiencing ongoing pain in the shoulder, back, or hip, or in any area containing soft tissue.
Our physical therapists will gently massage your myofascial tissues and other stiff or tightened areas to loosen or stretch them and reduce tension throughout your body. The process is repeated multiple times on the trigger points across your muscular system until the therapist feels all the tension is fully released.
We provide one-on-one therapy sessions, which our therapists use a multitude of Myofascial Release techniques and movement therapy. We assess the progress of this treatment through the level of increased motion or function experienced or the decrease in pain.
